그간 여러 가지 frankenbuild 크랙 또는 유사한 크랙을 적용한 Windows 7 사용자는, 뭐 그렇게 큰 문제는 아니지만, 약간 성가신 문제와 직면하고 있을 것입니다.

이전에 크랙을 적용한 Windows 7은 공식 제품 키로 사용 중인 Windows 7을 활성화하려고 하여도 무효한 시리얼 키라고 내치기에 활성화할 수 없는 상황에 처하게 됩니다.

아래 순서를 수동으로 적용하여, 해킹된 파일들을 제거하고 복원하여 원래의 활성화 상태로 시스템을 복구하여 Microsoft사에서 준비한 정품 제품 키를 사용하여 적절한 활성화 단계를 수행할 수 있습니다.

1. Download the original pkeyconfig.xrm-ms and tokens.data files contained in Win7-OriginalActivationFiles.zip.
2. Boot into Safe Mode, and then replace the following two activation related files with the original version from the downloaded ZIP package or your own backup:

   %WinDir% \ System32 \ spp \ tokens \ pkeyconfig \ pkeyconfig.xrm-ms

   %WinDir% \ ServiceProfiles \ NetworkService \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ SoftwareProtectionPlatform \ tokens.dat

3. If you cannot restart the computer, and want to replace the files in normal mode, open a command prompt as administrator, and then run the following command one by one:

   net stop sppsvc /y
   
   takeown /f "%WinDir% \ ServiceProfiles \ NetworkService \ AppData \ Roaming 
   \ Microsoft \ SoftwareProtectionPlatform \ tokens.dat"
   
   takeown /f "%WinDir% \ System32 \ spp \ tokens \ pkeyconfig \ pkeyconfig.xrm-ms"
   
   cacls "%WinDir% \ ServiceProfiles \ NetworkService \ AppData \ Roaming 
   \ Microsoft \ SoftwareProtectionPlatform \ tokens.dat" /e /g everyone:f
   
   cacls "%WinDir% \ System32 \ spp \ tokens \ pkeyconfig 
   \ pkeyconfig.xrm-ms" /e /g everyone:f
   
   del "%WinDir% \ ServiceProfiles \ NetworkService \ AppData \ Roaming 
   \ Microsoft \ SoftwareProtectionPlatform \ tokens.dat"
   
   del "%WinDir% \ System32 \ spp \ tokens \ pkeyconfig \ pkeyconfig.xrm-ms"

   Then, extract the content from ZIP package downloaded, and copy tokens.dat to “%WinDir% \ ServiceProfiles \ NetworkService \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ SoftwareProtectionPlatform \ ” folder, and copy pkeyconfig.xrm-ms to “%WinDir% \ System32 \ spp \ tokens \ pkeyconfig \ ” folder.

   Finally, restart the Software Protection service with following command (disable to avoid COM Surrogate error):

   net start sppsvc

4. In Windows 7 normal mode, enter the product key from Microsoft and activate Windows 7 proper.
